How to properly care for Brodeks workwear: washing and storage tips

Brodeks workwear is not just clothing, but your reliable assistant and protector at work. It is made from high-quality materials that provide comfort, safety, and durability.
But for Brodeks workwear to serve you for a long time and not lose its protective properties, you need to take proper care of it. In this article, we will tell you how to choose detergents, washing temperature and mode, how to dry and iron workwear, how to store it clean and tidy, and how to repair minor damage. By following our advice, you can extend the service life and maintain the quality of your Brodeks workwear.
How to choose detergents for Brodeks workwear
The first thing to pay attention to when choosing detergents is their composition and pH.
Brodeks workwear is made of synthetic and blended fabrics that do not tolerate aggressive chemicals such as bleaches, chlorine, alkalis, and acids. Such substances can damage fabric fibers, reduce their elasticity and strength, and cause fading or stains. Therefore, it is recommended to use mild and neutral detergents with a pH close to neutral (6-7) for washing. Such detergents usually have the designation “for colored fabrics” or “for synthetics” on the packaging.
The second thing to pay attention to is the form and dosage.
Workwear can be washed both manually and in a washing machine. For hand washing, both liquid and powdered detergents can be used, but it is important to observe the dosage indicated on the packaging and thoroughly dissolve the powder in water to avoid streaks on the fabric. For machine washing, it is better to use liquid detergents, which are easier to rinse off the fabric and do not leave residue in the washing machine drum. Special capsules or gels for machine washing can also be used, which provide optimal dosage and washing efficiency.

How to choose washing temperature and mode
The washing temperature and mode depend on the type of fabric, the degree of soiling, and the presence of special protective properties. In general, Brodeks workwear can be washed at a temperature not exceeding 40 г degrees Celsius, in a delicate or normal mode, with light spinning and without pre-soaking. However, if the workwear has special protective properties, such as water-repellent, fire-resistant, antistatic, or electrical protective coating, you should pay attention to the label, which indicates washing recommendations for each type of fabric and coating.
For example, Brodeks workwear made of membrane materials should be washed at a temperature not exceeding 30 г degrees Celsius, in a delicate mode, without spinning, and using special detergents for membranes. Such clothing can also be additionally treated with agents (sprays and gels) to protect or restore the properties of the membrane. Workwear with fire-resistant coating can be washed at a temperature not exceeding 60 г degrees Celsius, in a normal mode, with spinning not exceeding 800 revolutions per minute, and using detergents without bleaches and chlorine. Products with antistatic thread can be washed at a temperature not exceeding 40 г degrees Celsius, in a delicate mode, without spinning, and using detergents without conditioners and rinses.
By the way, the Brodeks workwear assortment includes a unique welder's suit of protection class 2, FS 28-02 + FS 38-02. The fabric is treated with a special impregnation, whose fire-protective properties do not disappear, but rather improve after each wash.

How to dry and iron Brodeks workwear
Many summer workwear models are made from a blended fabric with an “easy care” coating. This fabric treatment facilitates the drying and ironing process. If the clothes are carefully hung on hangers after washing and dried flat, they will dry much faster and may not need ironing.
For membrane summer and winter jackets, you should rely on the recommendations indicated on the labels.
We recommend drying insulated clothing flat, horizontally, and periodically shaking and turning it over. This way, the insulating layer will dry quickly, evenly, and without deformation.
As we noted above, ironing many Brodeks workwear models is not always necessary, thanks to technological modern fabrics. However, if you want to give your clothes a neater appearance, you can use an iron, but with the following rules:
- Iron only from the inside out to avoid damaging the outer layer of fabric and coatings.
- The recommended temperature is no higher than 110 г degrees Celsius. Cotton items, such as the KS 202+KS 302 м suit, can be ironed with steam.
- Iron Brodeks workwear carefully and quickly, without prolonged heating of one spot, to avoid scorching or melting the fabric.
